Dear Collegues
We’re reaching to the 5th ed. of B.E.S.T – 2008 – this year in Salvador, Bahia.
Our challenge is to keep providing a high-level-updated Course to all participants to widespread knowledge and experience in Bariatric Surgery of the world’s leading trends in our specialty.
I’m sure we will reach our target this year. The presence of 15 invited international guests besides well-known national surgeons with unquestionable surgical experience to present and to debate themes about Bariatric Surgery, Metabolic Surgery and NOTES in Bariatric Surgery gives us safety to reassure our objective.
The program presents some modifications at the theoretical part, having a greater participation in metabolic surgery and Notes in Bariatric Surgery, besides focus in themes about complications, reoperations and controversies in Bariatric Surgery. We’ll have a full day and a half of presentations and debates with Interactive Sessions.
At the Practical Session, we’ll have more live surgeries because this year we will present more reoperations cases which will probably be more time consuming, showing different techniques performed in our country. We’re about to show you 15 live bariatric surgeries.
Next year, the B.E.S.T - Bariatric Endoscopic Surgery Trends - will become B.E.S.T.- Best Endoscopic Surgery Trends. Thus, worldwide advanced laparoscopic techniques will be showed at B.E.S.T which leaves an itinerant characteristic course behind to become an established course fixed in Sao Paulo. We will be following the world’s bariatric trend courses to bring to all participants updated themes. I’m expecting your presence to make the B.E.S.T be the best updating bariatric course in 2008 to let it be again a great success.
Cheers
Nilton Kawahara
